JULY 2014

In July 2014 the construction team began excavating the foundations

The site is on a hilly slope and the ground is naturally of rocky condition which is typical in the Mampong region.

Most, if not all, the excavation and concrete work will be carried out manually by a team of appointed local builders who are experienced in working in similar terrain and conditions.

JUNE 2018

As at June 2018 all excavation, foundations, slabs and majority of walls and pilers have been carried out.

The next planned activities are to install the roof, windows and doors to enable the building to be 'water tight'.

AUGUST 2018

As part of KCALF's vision to support the needy a container of clothing was shipped from the UK in August 2018.

Mothers and their children were presented with clothing provisions.

Further presentations will follow to girls and boys aged 5-13 and toddlers under 1.

The aim is to have regular clothing, schooling, toiletries and educational material for children, youth, single mums and the elderly.

FEBRUARY 2020

After many months of delays due to an unusually rainy season, the roof is finally complete!
